Hey Sister Fife!
I wrote you last week about how we were in Utah and some of the fun things we did. Here are some pictures of our trip!
Ayla loved going to feed the ducks at Hyrum Dam. Grandma Lisa took her several times. We have to watch her close though cause she really wanted the ducks to eat the bread directly out of her hand. She even got bit by one. Greedy little ducks.
We celebrated my Birthday! I turned 29 years old!!! Can you believe it? Thanks for remembering by the way (wink).
We went to breakfast with some of Chris's family at this cute little restaurant called Herms. Chris ordered the short stack! Those pancakes were ginormous!
That afternoon we drove up to Twin Falls to meet Mom and Dad. They watched Zuri for us while we were in Utah. They met us in Twin to get her and we went out for my birthday. It is so pretty there! We left Ayla with Grandma Lisa so we could have some adult time! Which was so nice!
There is an awesome look out where you look down into the canyon, see the river and a pretty golf course. It was so inviting and the weather was so perfect we decided to let Chris play 9 holes and we all drove around in golf carts. It was really fun! Then we went to dinner at River Rock Grill which was really good we ended up staying really late talking and didn't get back to Utah till super late. But is was fun to get to spend time with Mom and Dad and Chris on my birthday.
That weekend we went to Snowbird for the annual Kohfeld Family Reunion.
(group Grandma photo and beautiful view)
Chris's cousin Alisha has twin girls that were 5 months old. They are so adorable! Ayla was very intrigued by them. I think she will be a great big sister.
We rode the tram up to the top of the mountain with Ayla and got a family selfie.
(those never turn out good)
Ayla loved spending time with her cousins!
Later the next week we drove to St George for Chris's sister Courtney's wedding!
I got to partake of Swig's delicious Italian ice and sugar cookies for the first time! So good!
We celebrated Chris's birthday on the eve before the wedding! He turned 32! We had a big cookout and sang him happy birthday
(girl photo and guy photo)
I think the guys are a little out numbered. Good thing we will have one to add to the clan very soon!
The next day was the wedding! It turned out so pretty! Ayla loved her pretty princess dress and was a beautiful flower girl!
She did so good walking down the aisle.
Sunday we drove back to Logan! That was the longest drive ever! Ayla was a handful! I don't know how mom ever survived rode trips with all us kids with out any cell phones or kindles/ipads.
Monday we had a big party for Papa Jeff's Birthday! He turned 60!
Our on going joke was that we were going to give him a giant poster of this pic of Ayla.
The next weekend we celebrated this little cutie turning 1 years old!
(this is Navy, Chris's Sister Camie's youngest)
Ayla loved playing the the party favors and dipping her finger in all the frosting! She is a little bit obsessed with frosting these days.
The following Sunday Mom drove to pick up Ayla and I in Utah and take us to Idaho, and Chris flew back to Florida. This is Ayla on our last night in Utah having Pina coladas with Hazel.
We are having tons of fun in Idaho! I can't wait to tell you all about it!
I am so glad you had a better week last week. I am so proud of you!
I love you!
