A night with the newbies
First of all sad news, I lost the adapter I use to upload pictures from my camera to my computer. So much has happened lately but I don't want to just write about it without pictures cause lets face it that would be pretty lame and boring. Anyway, I was able to get a couple pictures of this fun night out with two of my new interns Lexie and Rebbecca. Thanks for letting me use your pics Becca.
We went to Mallory square to watch the sunset and participate in the celebration.
The picture above is of this crazy little gymnast guy. He does a pretty good show, I have seen it many times.
This guy pulled over and gave us a coconut to drink. I love me some coconut water. Rebbecca and Lexie liked it to, but I think it takes a little bit of an acquired taste.
This is us with the crazy cat man. This guy is literally crazy.
I took the girls to Earthbound, love that store, and they did to. Then we went to Margaritaville, we all got margaritas (virgin of course) and shared these huge nachos. So good!
I had fun and it was great to get to know these cute girls a little better.

Silly Random Day
This day was the last day Kiera and I had off together. We had a lot of fun. We rode our bikes all around the island and took some random pictures.
We stopped at the Key West animal shelter and walked around, we found a pond where these huge iguanas were laying in the trees.
We shopped around at a couple of the antiques shops. I got a really cute necklace for $5!
We ate some lunch and Angelino's Pizzeria (best veggie sandwich on the island)
Then we rode around the Key West Cemetery reading headstones.
Supposedly there is a section of the cemetery that has really funny headstones. I have gone a couple times to look for them, but alas, no beuno.
I thought these two were pretty cool though.
After that we went to a local art fair at the park. There were some fairly cool items there but nothing that really stuck out to me.
Turned out to be a silly, fun, random day!
I miss you girlfriend!

Kooza
Chris sure did out do himself this year again. For Christmas he got us tickets to the Cirque Du Soleil show called Kooza in Miami. These weren't just any tickets, they were Tapis Rouge tickets. Tapis Rouge is Cirque Du Soleil's fancy way of saying VIP. We were on the 4th row.
An hour before the show starts you can go in the private Tapis Rouge tent, as you enter they give you a VIP pass on a lanyard, take your picture, give you a program, and serve varies orderves. We tried some interesting appetizers; seafood nachos, seared tuna with caviar, bruscheta with goat cheese, and fruit and crackers. Then for more of a main course there was prime rib rolls, and pork pot stickers.
During intermission we went back to the Tapis Rouge were we could pick up our picture in a Cirque Du Soleil frame and were served all sorts of treats. We had delicious mango and strawberry smoothie's with whip cream but my favorite treat was the chocolate brownie bites with crystallized banana on top.
We were also given little black boxes to fill with candy and take back to eat during the second half of the show. It was a very fun and special night!
I have such a thoughtful husband!

I am my Mother's Daughter
For Christmas this year Kiera and I exchanged stockings. It was really fun. We gave each other an assortment of nice gifts and silly stocking stuffer type gifts.
The gift I was most excited about giving her in her stocking was this mug a drew on. It turned out so cute. To be honest, I was kinda nervous about this. My mother is very artisic and this is the type of thing I could totally picture her doing, and part of me wished she were here so I could ask her to do it for me. But I am pretty proud of my mad mug drawing skills, so I have to post it. This way I can look back at it on days when I am feel down and remember how awesome I was for drawing this cute mug for my cute friend.
TaDa!
Key West @ Christmas
Chris was making fun of me for taking pictures of the Christmas lights here, becuase they don't even compare to the amazing Christmas lights we would see back home. He does have a fairly valid point. It doesn't really get any better than Temple square.
Still there is something charming about a a row of lighted up palm trees.
Christmas in paradise, makes Chirstmas away from family a little more bareable.
