Ayla and Her Laptop

Ayla loves the grown up laptop and always wants to push the keys.  I think it is mostly because she sees Chris and I on it all the time.  So we got her, her very own laptop.  She really likes it.  She loves to open it and close it, open it and close it, over and over again.
Don't you love that little dance that lasted about 2 seconds?  She has just started  to sway and dance a little bit while standing up, she really gets into the music when she is sitting bobbing up and down and kicking her legs.  She loves a good tune.

Ayla and Her Baby

It might just be me, but watching Ayla play with her toys completely entertains me, especially when she plays with her baby!  Isn't it adorable how she makes her baby doll claps her feet.  Haha.   She is so silly, cracks me up.  Ayla loves to play with her toys.  She knows where they are kept, she will crawl over to the cubicals,  pull them out, tip them over, and out spills all her favorite things.  She will sit contently and play on her own, but prefers if I am down on the floor playing and interacting with her.
Which I am "usually" more than happy to do, the other stuff can wait.  I sometimes need to remind myself that it won't be long before she will be all grown up, and then she might not want me around to play with her anymore, but mostly I try not to think about that yet, it is too heart breaking.

Fife Family Pictures 2012

For Christmas this year my siblings and I all got together and bought a family photo session as a gift for our parents.  I think we got some keepers and I love the location we chose.  Ayla was an angel and put out her best smiles.
Hope you ENJOY!

New Years Eve

Here in Grand Cayman everything is celebrated with fireworks.  New Years Eve is no exception.  Dad wasn't feeling very good and Chris wanted to watch sports so Chris, Dad and Ayla had a relaxing night in while the rest of us went out to watch the fireworks.  First we went to Camana Bay and watched a pre count down show.  Then we wandered around aimlessly trying to figure out what to do until the clock struck 12.  We got some frozen yogurt and walked along the beach talking and conspiring on how and if we should try to sneak into some of the fancy parties at the major hotels.  Finally the clock struck 12 and the night sky was light with beautiful bursts of glitter.  We looked out over the midnight ocean as the sand tickled our toes with thoughts, hopes and dreams of what the coming year will bring.

Sting Ray City

This documents Ayla's first boat ride and first trip to sting ray city.  She loved it.  We all went to Sting Ray City and had a blast. We each got to hold, kiss, get a back rub, and feed these GIANT Sting Rays.  Some having a wing span of up to 6 feet.  They were massive.

Camana Bay

On one of the days I don't remember which after a really lazy morning we went to Camana Bay.  We got frozen yogurt, listened and watch the steal drum band, climbed up the tower and gazed out at the view, played around admiring the Christmas lights and decor, browsed in the shops, and took pictures.

Rum Point & Star Fish Point

A few  a massive chunk of photos from our day spent at Rum Point and Star Fish Point.  I really love those beaches.

Sister and I got our hair braided like true island natives.  Just two braids each.

 Star Fish Point

There were jellyfish everywhere that day.
