Two Points

The weekend before last we took a little drive over to the other side of the island to spend the day in 1. Rum Point and 2. Starfish Point.  See Two Points. Go ahead and call me Clever Colby.  

Rum Point is a nice beach for babies because the water is extremely calm and it stays really shallow for a long ways out in the sea.  There are also some nice big palm trees that provide quite a bit of shade.

And what is not to love about Starfish?

Under the Sea & Ayla's 6 Month Birthday

On Ayla's 6 month birthday we headed over to Governors Beach to celebrate!

It was another great opportunity to try out our underwater camera in the ocean. Whoot! Whoot!  When we arrived Ayla had fallen asleep in her car seat, so Chris stayed on the beach with her and read while I did a little snorkeling. 

  When I got back, Ayla was up and ready to go for a swim.

Mommy's Dress

It is G Ma Chele's Birthday today!!  

Ayla and I want to wish her the very best birthday and thank her for being such a wonderful mother and grandmother.  

We love you so much!!

Ayla is wearing one of my dresses from when I was around her age. This also documents the very first time Ayla wore anything of mommy's.  Awe, sentimental.   G Ma Chele has saved this dress 27 years just for an occasion like this.

She sure looked beautiful!

I tried so hard to get her to smile long enough for me to snap a shot, but alas, all I got was her half grin while simultaneously sucking on her bottom lip.
