Best Boss in the Universe

Chris's interns Kendra (left) and Evann (right) left for Alaska.  As a going away present they made Chris a Best Boss in the Universe certificate, a Best Boss in the Universe sash, a crown, and gave him a bouquet of flowers.   He felt just as special as one of those girls who just won Miss America.   Doesn't he look cute?  It was really funny.  We will miss there good sense of humor and positive attitudes.

3 year anniversary a little early

We decided we wanted to take a little trip for our 3 year anniversary.  With work and scheduling it was easier for us to get away this past week.  So we decided we would celebrate a few days early.
We drove up to spend a couple nights in Key Largo.  On the way we stopped and ate at Boondocks.

We pulled over to watch the sunset and take a few pics.

The next day we went on a snorkeling tour and hung out at John Pennakamp State Park.  Key Largo is known for its astounding coral reef.  The snorkeling was really fun, especially since we haven't been in awhile.  But we are really spoiled with all the amazing snorkeling we have done in Hawaii and Mexico.

These are a couple of our modeling photos we like to take of one another.

The next day we drove up to Miami.  We went shopping, I got my hair done, and we spent a little time at the Hard Rock Casino.

Chris got pretty lucky.  He loves that Texas Holdem game.

One thing we love about staying at a hotel is a big, comfy, bed.

The next day was a beach day.  We went to a beach on the outskirts of Miami, where the sand is actually made of seashells.
There are lots of big shells like these, but if you click on the picture to make it larger you can see the sand is actually made of tiny pieces of seashell.

That night we went to dinner at a great local Mexican restaurant.  Then we went and walked around the Bal Harbour Mall.  This is a really cool outdoor mall.  They had lots of high end designer specialty shops that you don't find everywhere.

Our last day was spent sleeping in.  Eating out.  I got pampered with a mani/pedi. and sitting in traffic.

On our way home there was a pretty bad accident.  We were only a few cars away from the actual accident but the traffic was backed up as far as I could see.   People need to be more careful when they drive.  Some girl cut this lady off causing her to roll her car over.  There was a mother and a daughter in the car both had to be rushed to the hospital, but of course the girl who cut them off was fine.  I feel bad for the girl though, she must feel awful.  I sure hope the mother and daughter are ok.  I heard they were in critical condition.

Other than that though we had a really fun trip!  Thanks to my baby for taking the time to make our anniversary special, and thanks to our interns for running the stores and watching Zuri.  We really appreciate it!

Holy Long Tongue!

Zuri has the longest tongue ever!  Look at thing.
Zuri is doing good.   We took her to the vet a week ago and she weighed 5lbs 7oz.  She also had her first hair cut.  She didn't like that very much.  She is doing really well with her potty training, and rarely has an accident anymore (haha except for when we leave her on the couch).
She has tons of energy and wont let me put bows in her hair anymore.  If I do actually get it in she has it out within the hour.  She is a chew monster.  She loves to chew on everything.  Including Us!  Oh the joys of having a puppy!  It's a good thing she is so stinkin cute.  We love her!

Pool Time

Friday morning I volunteered to watch my friends two little boys for a few hours.  They sure are a couple of cuties!  I was a little nervous on how the whole morning would go down.  I sit by them almost every week at church and little baby Asher will rarely ever let me hold him without crying. He is quite the mama's boy.  Shiloh his older brother is quite the busy body but they were both little angels for me.  I took them for a walk with Zuri and then we all went to hang out at the pool.  Kendra (intern) came with us and she mainly swam in the pool with Shiloh and Asher and I sorta hung out on the side.  He like to splash his legs in the water but didn't want to get all the way in.
Shiloh loved the water and wanted Asher to join him in the fun.

He took Asher's hand and began leading him over to the pool.  Saying, "come on brother."
It was really cute.

Cariloha: where the style of the Caribbean meets the spirit of Aloha.

I had to take some pictures of the store last week and send them to corporate.  So I figured I would publish them on my blog. This post is for all you friends and family members who haven't seen my store yet.  Keep in mind that everything in the store is made from bamboo.
View of store from outside.

Bed and Bath section.  This is right to the right when you walk in.

Back of store looking forward.

Cash Wrap (were customers check out)

Purse section.

Thats it.  There is a dressing room around the corner of the bags and picture frames, and a bathroom/storage room across from the dressing room.
It is a pretty small space but I think it was designed really well.

The store is located in the Sunset Pier Shopping Center.  Which is leased out from the Westin.  All the shops are located beneath the Westin and there are several Cruise Ships that dock right here, so it is a great location for Cruise Ship traffic.  There wasn't a cruise ship in that day but there was this Yacht that has been docked here all week.
Wouldn't it be nice to own one of these mama's?  Whoo!  That's luxury.
