Goodbye Summer Babies

I can not believe that summer is over!  It flew by.  It is weird to think that everyone is going back to school now.  I am so grateful I am not one of those people. It is good to be done with school.

We had a farewell dinner with our summer babies, to thank them for being so great to work with.  It was sad to see them go.  I am going to miss these crazy girls.  They sure knew how to live it up and have a good time.  Thanks for your hard work and dedication ladies.  Good luck with all your endeavors!

Photo Shoot

Tiffany, Sagan and I were overcome with the beauty of our surroundings, so we decided it would be fun to have our own photo shoot.  We loved taking pictures of each other.  He he! We felt like we were in a photo shoot for America's Next Top Model.

A pool for a party

Last Week we had a relief society pool party.  Sister Fuentes volunteered her beautiful home (appraised somewhere around 7million).  We had a great turn out and everyone had a really wonderful time.

You can't even tell but my good friend Erin is actually 27weeks along in this pic.  She asked me to post it for her since she has neglected to put any baby bump pics up on her own blog.
 Sagan loves her some brownie.

There are about six bedrooms, two living rooms, 4 or 5 bathrooms, a tennis court, a gym and of course the amazing pool, plus you can't beat the location.   An amazing view right on the water in the private island of Shark Key.

Lloyd's Tropical Bike Tour

Please meet Loyd.

Lloyd runs his own business giving bike tours.  He is quite the character.  I had the opportunity to first meet Lloyd at Bikram yoga.  He is a regular there and brings the best mangoes I have ever had to yoga and shares them with all the rest of us yogi's.  Lloyd wont tell any of us where he gets his mangoes.  I think it is because he steals them from someones tree and he doesn't want anyone else to know where it is because he wants to keep them all for himself.  Every time I see him at yoga I ask him about his mangoes and every time he gives me little hits to where he gets them.  Last weekend he asked me and a few of our other yoga friends to come on his bike tour with him.  He was having a camera crew come down to film segments of it to show on T.V.   They were doing a little show featuring a few highlights of Key West.  I told him I would only come if he showed me where he gets his mangoes.

He does a great job on his tour.  He took us all over Key West, showing us different fruit trees, and talking about the history of Key West.  I was thoroughly entertained. This guy could have his own reality show.

These pictures are in Nancy's Garden.  It serves as a refuge to homeless parrots.

No mangoes!

He opened this coconut with a machete.
Put the lime in the coconut and shake it all up.

Sooo Good!!

I had a blast on this bike tour.  It really was so fun.  Sadly Lloyd still hasn't shown me where he gets his mangoes.  I will have to get it out of him next time.

Everything Lobster!

Last weekend was the Key West annual Lobster Festival.  They closed off Duval St. again and all the vendors were out selling art, jewelry, clothing, and of course lobster! You name it, it was probably there.

It was so incredibly hot this day.  It felt like the hottest most humid day we have had here yet.  So we bought our smoothies and lobster and went to the store to eat, drink and cool off.

This lobster on a stick is pure AMAZINGNESS!

Pink Hair

A few nights ago Sagan and I had a sleepover.  It was a really fun time full of spontaneity and randomness.
Somehow, she convinced me it would be a good idea to put this massive pink streak in my hair.   I woke up the next morning and had to go to work looking like this.
I must admit.  I am not loving the pink hair look.  I tried to take it out with a bleach wash.  But nothing, the color is there to stay.  Luckily it is temporary and I am hoping it will be completely faded out in about a month.

It has been a interesting experience walking around with pink hair.  I have gotten lots of comments/compliments.  The best was at church, one of my friends comes up to me and says "Cute hair Aubrey!  All the girls in primary are going to be so jealous."  Oh that's awesome!  That is exactly the look I was going for.  I feel a little but like one of those unstable teenagers who does something drastic just to get attention.  That really wasn't what I was going for either.  The truth is I wasn't going for anything and I clearly didn't think it through.  It was just one of those.  "Hey lets dye your hair Pink."  And I was thinking hmmm.... I have never had pink hair before.  I wonder what it would be like.  I was feeling spontaneous and we just did it. We went out and bought dye at 1am and were finished by 3am.  We finally feel asleep at about 5am.  And I woke up the next morning with a bright pink chunk of hair.

I can't say that my dear husband has been very supportive of it at all.  I have endured several days of countless, white trash, trailer park, and circus jokes.  And then Sagan trying to convince me that it is cute, because she feels bad.
