Fife Family Visits Key West

At the end of August, my family came to visit us in Key West.  There has been a lot going on this month so I am finally getting around to posting this.

My siblings can sleep anywhere, even the floor of the airport.

Day One!

 Iguana at the beach.
Southern Most Point in the Continental U.S.

More Beach.  Chris and I had to work in the morning so my family went to Smathers beach and drove around the island.  They took some fun pictures and we met up at the apartment for lunch.  Then we all went to Higgs beach.

When we got back from swimming in the ocean and my father discovered the electric key to the rental car in the pocket of his swimsuit.  Ooops!!  We tried the key and it was no good.  Luckily, we live about a mile from the beach so Chris and my dad jogged back to the apartment to get our car and stick a blowdryer on the electric key to see if they could get it working.  While they did that, the rest of us walked around town.

 We are a cute bunch!

 Sisters!
 Brothers!

Super Strong Superman.

Chris and my Dad went back to try the rental car again after drying out the key.  It still didn't work.  So they  met up with us for some delicious ice cream at the infamous Flamingo Crossing.  We called the rental company and turns out this happens all the time.  Good news it is only $300 to replace the key.  Ouch! Thats more than they paid to rent the car for the whole week.

We continued to walk along Duval stopping at various shops along the way.  Then we went to dinner on the roof of the Rum Barrel, and we all tried fried alligator bites for the first time.  There was live music, good food, and great company.  I love my family.
