Hey Beautiful Sister!
I really did have the best intentions of getting this post done before you wrote today, but alas time was not on my side. We have been back in florida for exactly a week. We had so much fun visiting family and being out west but it sure feels good to be back in our own home.
Here is a recap of our time spent at Grandma Chele and Papa Fife's house.
Mom and Dad got a special place for Ayla in there back yard. We call it Walnut beach. She has a pool of water and pool of sand under the shade of a big walnut tree. She loved it back there and we used it daily.
Mom threw Tabitha and I a joint Baby Shower! It turned out so cute and was very fun! We both got tons of great stuff for our new little ones! It is so exciting that we are having babies so close together! Our due dates are only 5 weeks apart. It was so nice to see so much of our extended family and I was so grateful so many were able to come.
Look at these three cuties! They are siting in reverse order, but these two pics were taken almost exactly a year a part. Top photo is left to right Evelyn (Michelle and Jaron's Daughter (they are also expecting a baby in Oct, and think it is a boy, but it is a surprise!, Rylynn (Megan and Shaun's youngest) and Ayla) bottom photo Ayla and Evelyn switched places. Amazing the difference a year makes. They are all little toddlers now, lots more hair and a lot less baby fat.
Can you believe how tiny Tabitha is?! She looks fabulous. Don't mind my huge watermelon belly. ;)
A few more photos of Ayla at Walnut beach. She really bonded with Dad a lot this trip. She loved playing with him! He was great to play with her at the park and at walnut beach. He took her to see and feed the horses and out on walks to see the yellow school bus behind the church across the street.
We had the Annual Fife Family Reunion. It was held at Uncle Errol's house. There was the usual great food and visiting. Plus cousin Kristen did a really neat game/presentation about Grandma and Grandpa Fife growing up and what as happening in the world at those times, all during the 1900's. She did an amazing job. Tons of very interesting facts, cool pictures, and a fun interactive game. Unfortunately Ayla wasn't that into it. So Chandler was on Ayla duty! It was so nice to have great siblings to help keep her entertained. Can you believe he is going to be a dad? I still can't quite grasp the whole idea. But I know he will be great. He really is a natural with kids. Ayla adores him.
The next day was Trevor and Lia's reception at a park in Boise. We went a little early so Ayla could play on the toys and we walked through the Nature Trail and saw lots of fish.
So Jared sure did try to win over Ayla's affection. And she did warm up to him eventually, but she sure made him work for it. He did have his girlfriend Amy around which gave him bonus points. Ayla loved Amy and took to her right away. She still talks about Amy. She really made an impression on her.
I was trying to get Ayla to pose for me and as you can tell that was working real well. She just sat in the corner and refused to look at me.
And here is a picture of Jared and Amy! Not the best photo but here it is all the same. She really is very pretty and I can see why Jared loves her!
Before we took Amy back to the airport we stopped by the Boise mall and did a little shopping and let Ayla play in the play center. You can see why she loved Amy so much.
The next week mom and I took Ayla to this play center called Jabbers in Nampa. Seriously so cool! Ayla was in heaven. They had tons of different toy areas. I climbing gym, a car area with street signs and road ways where the kids could drive, big barbie house with all the furniture and accessories, an art room, train tables, dinosaurs, building blocks, puppets, toddler area, a play house with full kitchen, dining and living room, a farmers market where they could shop and weight and buy food and then take it home and put it away in the play house kitchen. Ayla loved that part the best. She would fill up two shopping carts full of fruit and veggies and then take them to the kitchen so she could cook dinner.
Ayla loves going to the park! We went to several parks multiply times. She has become quite a good little climber and loves to hang like a monkey.
Mom started radiation treatments and was a bit emotional. She has handled everything really amazing. She is a strong woman. I have pretty much come to terms that I will mostly likely get breast cancer at some point as well, but lets just pray it isn't till I am really old and senile. I took mom out for her Birthday! We got mani/pedi's and went to lunch just us two, then we went and visited with Grandma BB. Thanks Dad for watching Ayla all day!
Grandma was having a good day, was very talkative, remembered just about everything that was said. It has gotten to the point where sometimes you are telling her the same thing over and over cause she forgets but this day wasn't like that. We really do have an amazing grandma. Both of them are, that must be why are parents are so awesome!

Well sister, I am so glad you had such a great week and are enjoying your new area. Being home sure wasn't the same without you! I am so proud of you and know you are growing so much. You will need to come spend some time with us in Florida when you get home from your mission! We will have lots of catching up to do.
