Ayla's Birthday!

Ayla's Birthday was on Tuesday!  I can't believe she is two!

We decided to just have a family party this year.  We took her out for a donut buffet breakfast!  Donuts are her favorite but only the frosting with sprinkles and creme filled kind as that is the only part she eats.

After donuts we played in her playroom for a bit.  I think it is so cute how she loves to feed her babies.  She likes to feed her stuffed animals also.
For dinner we took her to The Rain Forest Cafe for dinner!  She loved it!  We sat by the gorillas and tigers.  They move and make noise every 10 minutes and all the lights flash and there is thunder and lightening sounds.  Ayla would gasp in awe every time.  She had a smoothie and mac and cheese (she ate all of it) and then the waiter sang her happy birthday and brought her an ice cream Sunday with a candle.  After dinner we took her to Toys R US and let her pick out any toy she wanted.  She choose a little horse that walks and neighs.
I think she felt pretty special!

Updates:
We are slowly working on weening her off the bottle. She only has a bottle at naptime and bedtime and during sacrament.  But for the past two weeks we have switched her to strictly water in her bottle and she has taken it fine with no complaints.  Then we give her milk in her sippy when she eats.  So that is progress and I feel a lot better about giving water in her bottle instead of milk.
She is starting to learn some of her alphabet letters.  She knows T, P and Z really well.  She can say them, knows what they look like and can pick them out of a group of letters.
She has also started saying Frog.  But she pronounces it fock, which sounds exactly like the f**** word.  So of course Chris tries to get her to say it all the time since he thinks it is so funny.  It is really awesome cause one of our neighbors has some frog figures in there front lawn so Ayla will point to them shouting F**** over and over again when ever we go on our daily walk with Zuri.

Sometimes life with 2 year old Ayla feels like living with someone with Bipolar disease as she goes from happy one minute to screaming, running to her room and slamming the door, or screaming and laying down on the floor and violently kicking her legs, or repeatedly banging her head on the ground the next second and then fine again.
I mostly try to ignore the ornery side of her.  The nice side is really so very sweet! She has the best giggles!  We were in the tub together the other night and she kept saying "bark" and then I would repeat it and say "bark" and she would laugh and giggle and thought it was so funny! We did this repeatedly for about 10 minutes and she would laugh obnoxiously every time.
She also gives the very best hugs and kisses!  They warm my heart and make me feel so special!  Ayla loves to color, build towers and knock them down, puzzles, babies, dolls,  animals, play dough, and shows.
She continues to love books (she can pronounce book perfectly now) and loves to be read to and read them herself in Ayla-nease.
Our new morning routine is going to grab her out of her crib when she wakes up in the morning and then bring her into bed with us while she watches baby Einsteins and we all cuddle for a few minutes before we get ready to start the day.  She has become a sweet cuddle bug which we both love!
Ayla's favorite foods are:
donuts
cookies
frosting
whip cream
smoothies
shakes
beans
rice
pizza
cereal
eggs
mac and cheese
cheese
plain pasta noodles
cooked carrots
yogurt
danimals
watermelon
bananas
popcorn
mandarin oranges
french fries
apple sauce
crackers/gold fish
apples
This list is a pretty regular diet for her right now since I can't seem to get her to eat much of anything else.
We keep trying to give her meat but she wont eat it. So she is basically a vegetarian.
We love her so much and can't imagine life without her!
Happy Birthday Ayla Ocean!
