Hey Sister Fife!
We have had a fairly eventful week.
Last Sunday Night we had dinner at our friends the Shaws. They live in our neighborhood and are in our ward. They have two little boys, Gavin(4) and Liam (2). We had fun and Ayla loved playing with all there toys. Bonus she ate super good over there and didn't throw any food on the floor! Actually since her day with just Daddy she has been so much better at not throwing food on the floor. So big Kudos to him!!

Monday morning Chris went out of town. He had to go down to Key West again and send an intern home. So that was fun for him.
Ayla and I stayed home and met up with some friends at the park. There are two other Mommies with daughters Ayla's age that we hang out with quite a bit. They are the same ones that are in the Mommy and Me Gymnastic class with us. Carrie and her daughter Emily and Brittany and her daughter Maddie. It was a great afternoon at the park. The weather was perfect.
Tuesday I put Ayla in the BOB stroller and jogged over to the Library for there Tots and Toddlers Music/Storytime. There is a library that is really close to our house (about a mile or so) and there is a lovely little path along a canal almost the whole way. Once we got there Ayla wanted nothing to do with storytime. Not that I blame her, the lady was pretty dull. So she hung out in here.
The Library is attached to the Young at Art Museum (which I still want to take Ayla to) and at the entrance there is this. It is basically a little room they can go in with glass walls and there are fans that blow from the floor. So you can throw handfuls of tiny pieces of crape paper and they blow all around. Ayla totally loved it.
We also went to the pool Tuesday afternoon. It was a pretty warm day low 80's and the pool was really nice! Chris got home late Tuesday night.
Wednesday ended up being quite the day. We got up and had to take Chris to the rental car place so he could return his rental car. He had put Ayla in her car seat and started a show for her on the kindle and then went to go get in the rental car. So I am following him.and we are driving down the freeway, in the pouring rain and had been driving for about 10 mins when I look back at Ayla and see her standing up in her Car Seat! Yep she was loose! And loving her new found freedom as she began walking all over the backseat, I hurry and call Chris and tell him we need to pull over immediately, since he obviously forgot to strap our child into her car seat. Terror really broke in when Ayla started to climb up into the front seat and refused to listen to me as I commanded her to sit down at once. We pull off on the side of the freeway and I climb into the back seat and strap Ayla back into her car seat. I have no idea how people did it before car seats. What a nightmare! Then we merge back into freeway traffic and pull off at the next exit. As we are sitting at the stop light Chris texts me "Whoops!" That is the understatement of the year.
After we get done with dropping off the rental car we head over to our friends house to drop something off and see there new baby boy Dempsey. As we get to there house they call us asking where we are. I tell her we are just getting to her house and she asks if we can go pick them up cause there car just broke down. Poor thing, stranded on the side of the rode with her 1 week old baby and 2 year old daughter. We pick them up and take them home, as she is going on about being embarrassed since she hadn't showered yet and her daughter was still in her princess nightgown. Haha. Nice to have friends to relate to. We then told her not to feel bad cause Chris had forgotten to buckle Ayla into her carseat and we didn't realize it till we were in the middle of the freeway in the pouring rain.
The rest of Wednesday and Thursday were rainy all day. So we stayed couped up inside.
Friday was my last session with Cross Fit! It was a good time, but I am not hooked, and realized I really need a gym with a daycare since Chris goes out of town so much.
I also spent most of Friday packing up our kitchen and bathrooms and moving everything into Chris's office because on Saturday we had a guy come and paint our cupboards and tubs!
I am excited to show the before and after pics next week.
Saturday I took Ayla to get her 2 year old photo shoot. They turned out so cute and I am so excited to show them to you next week as well. After the photoshoot we headed to the Miami Zoo! Yep, that's twice in one month. We had to be out of the house since the guy was in there painting and the fumes were so strong.
Ayla also say Deek (Drink) and Meek (milk) and Beek (book), book used to be Bila so we are making progress there.
She loved this popcorn! She calls it popk! She can also say Camel. And said it for the first time at the zoo clear as day.
This time at the zoo we brought Ayla's swimsuit so she could play in the slash pad. She loved it and ran around crazy all over squealing and screaming.
After the Zoo we grabbed Zuri and headed over to our hotel for the night. We needed to be out of the house for the night so the house could air out. We went swimming in the pool which was located on the roof and then ordered room service for a late dinner.
