Our 1st Wedding in Cayman

This past weekend there was a wedding at our church between two members of our branch.  They have an interesting story.  The groom Carlton was currently taking the missionary discussions and was progressing along well and decided to get baptized about a month ago.  Carlton is good friends with Marcia and Jack Henry.  One night about a month ago Lorraine (one of the people Chris home teaches) got bit by a scorpion.   Marcia and Jack went to go visit her and make sure she was getting along alright and Carlton was with them.  Well apparently they hit it off.  Unfortunately, Carlton's seven year permit was up and he was going to have to leave the island and go back to Jamaica.  Lorraine has Cayman citizenship and didn't want him to leave so they decided to get married so he could stay on island and they could be together.  I think it is cute and funny that the story of how they met is centered around a scorpion.  The whole wedding was organized and put together in exactly one week.  I can't believe how well it turned out in such short notice.

Chris was asked to be the mic man, he was the entertainment of the evening and announced everything as it was taking place.  Turns out he did such a great job he has now been asked to organize the branch Christmas party!

Isn't he handsome!

The Friday night before we went to help set up for a few hours.  Lorraine wanted a garden theme and everything was borrowed from members and friends.   It really came together very nicely.
