On the day after Christmas my family and I went swimming with the dolphins! Chris was a saint and stayed home with Ayla since the two of them had swam with the dolphins just weeks earlier. And yes we got conned into paying for the pictures both times. You just can't put a price on memories.
These stunning creatures of the sea never cease to amaze me!
We lucked out and got our own group with just the 6 of us. We all did the Ultimate swim which included a dorsal fin ride like in the pictures of my mom above and dad below.
Then we did the foot push which is where the two dolphins swim up behind you and each push a nose against each of your feet and push you across the water causing you to soar up out of the water like a superman. As shore in the pictures of Chandler above and Chelacie below.
We all got lots of interaction with both dolphins petting them as they swim past us and holding them as we all pose together for pictures.
Everyone got a kiss from the dolphin on the check and a smooch on the mouth!
They left us with a show jumping high into the air, dancing in circles, and splashing us in the face as they literally waved their fins in farewell.
There were over 100 photos on the CD we bought but that is way to many for a blog post, so I just shared a few.
We had a great time!
Dolphin Cove also has a bird exhibit, so after our swim we went to check it out. We had a nice little chat with the birds and got to hold them.
They were beautiful birds!
